Scroll-ology from the Northwest Collage Society

I’m delighted to have two pieces in the Northwest Collage Society’s summer/fall 2024 show, Scroll-ology, which features the exciting potential of this unorthodox format. I showed “The beauty who thinks” (left), a piece responding to and updating the Admonitions Scroll, historically attributed to Gu Kaizhi, as well as “All these years,” a simpler reflection on family and cycles of loss. And I was pleased to hear that “The beauty who thinks” was awarded the society’s Eleanor Wolters Smith Award — truly an honor!
