When Photography Meets Collage

I was pleased to present a piece in the New Orleans Photo Alliance’s show, “When Photography Meets Collage.” This exhibition, which opened during Kolaj Fest 2024, explores the intersection of photographic and collage-based practices. “Venture Out” is a collage work I made using negative discards, a negative holder, ephemera from my mother’s estate, assorted papers, and found text. Increasingly, I’m weaving more of my family’s story into my collage work, and I’m grateful to NOPA for the opportunity to show this over the summer.
